"The Devourer" (Demon) by Whirl | Geometry Dash 2.11

Описание: As usual, Whirl's new level is a very good art level. This one is themed after Terraria, and more specifically its Calamity mod. The timing is actually pretty funny as I'm currently doing another playthrough of that with some friends. I can safely say that a lot of its content has been adapted and preserved well in this level.

What makes this stand out from Whirl's other levels to me is the length. He has made high quality art levels before, which were also themed after something specific throughout, but they never reached this length. It goes without saying that the amount of content in this is higher than his other levels. Sometimes that can mean certain parts suffer in quality and it gets inconsistent overall, but in this case I'd say Whirl kept it up throughout the level.

I've found the gameplay to be a bit frustrating in his past levels, and while I think this is an improvement in that department, there are still some issues. There was a bug that I kept dying to around 90%, which is a lot more annoying because of the length. I will tell Whirl about it so he can fix it if he wants to. Some parts are definitely harder than others, and I think it's okay for bossfights to be harder, but maybe not for other parts. These are all things that could have been improved with some playtesting. Despite that, though, I definitely think this is a pretty enjoyable level considering the length, making it harder to balance, and art style, making it harder to create clear gameplay. The visuals are really good, so I think this will get an Epic rating. It will probably be a Medium Demon because of the length.
