➡️ Waltraud Schelkle is Professor and Director of Research at the EUI Department for Political and Social Sciences and Joint Chair at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies. Prior to the EUI, she was Professor in Political Economy at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Professor Schelkle is the author of the book ‘The political economy of monetary solidarity: understanding the experiment of the euro’ published by Oxford University Press in 2017.

➡️ Erik Jones is Director of the EUI’s Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies. He is editor or co-editor of books and special issues of journals on topics related to European politics and political economy, including The Oxford Handbook of the European Union (2012). Professor Jones’ commentary has appeared in the Financial Times, the New York Times, and other major newspapers and magazines across Europe and North America.
