If you are taking the interstate 17 from Phoenix, the Mayer and Prescott Valley area comes before you hit the Mingus Mountain Range taking you to Verde Valley. This video describes the location of the town, some of the local demographics, cool features of the area, and it even profiles a local property to give you an idea of what's for sale in the area.
