Описание: A science talk about Transitional millisecond Pulsars by Dr. Amruta Jaodand was organized at Gandhi Memorial Hall, Bajaj College of Science on December 20th, 2019.

She has completed a dual degree from BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus in B.E. Electronics and Communications along with M.Sc in Physics. She was associated with Research in Cosmology at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics i.e. IIA, Bangalore for the same M.Sc degree. After that, she was awarded a Research Fellowship for working on Black Holes by the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research at International Center of Theoretical Science, Bangalore. During the same time, she was offered a Ph.D. fellowship in Astrophysics in America as well as in Europe, out of which she choose fellowship in Netherlands. She worked on new discoveries related to Neutron stars using the ground equipments as well as European Space agencies. Her work was published in international journals. Currently, Dr. Amruta is a postdoctoral scholar at Caltech, USA. She is working on Black Holes and Neutron Stars with the NuSTAR space mission team at NASA.

Astro Club is the club for incubating astronomical knowledge to the students who are interested to know what’s happening in the universe which is visible to a known source of the observatory. It is the initiative of the Department of Physics, Bajaj College of Science of the academic session 2017-18. The objective is to inspire students and others to know more about the Universe. Also, it is an effort to make social awareness about the facts and findings of astronomy.
