How does assessment fit into the new EYFS framework?
If Development Matters is now to be viewed as a curriculum rather than a progress tracker, where do we go from here?
How do we profile our children?
How do we track progress?
How can Birth to 5 Matters support practitioners?
"Assessment should not entail prolonged breaks from interaction with children, nor require excessive paperwork. When assessing whether an individual child is at the expected level of development, practitioners should draw on their knowledge of the child and their own expert professional judgement."
(Statutory Framework for the EYFS 2021)
