Strange behaviour from a pair of Hooded Crows on the Loch Arkaig Osprey nest 4 Oct 2022

2022 season:

Louis and Dorcha returned to Nest Two on 12th April, laid three eggs on 24 and 27th April, and 1st May. The first chick hatched on 31st May, the second on Jubilee Day 2nd June and the third on 5th June. Sadly the third chick passed away on 12th June. The two chicks were ringed on 12th July, LW5 female and LW6 female. They were named Willow and Sarafina and fledged on 25th and 31st July respectively. Dorcha was last seen on camera on 18th August, Willow 28th August, Louis 8th September and Sarafina 9th September. We wish them good flying and plenty of fish!

Louis is a father of ten, six with Aila (2017-2020), and four with Dorcha.
