I put "Sentient" AI into 1998 Half-Life and it was a mistake. Today, we're heading back to Black Mesa, but I've replaced the scripted NPCs with Lambda Players.
These AI entities aren't following the script. They mimic real Garry's Mod players... complete with toxic chat, prop-spamming, and an absolute refusal to let me finish the game. Watch as the Resonance Cascade happens and the scientists are more worried about "RDM-ing" each other than the alien invasion.
