I'm playing the Iridescent Lantern Event in Dragons & Elfs. This event was given to us with a 12 day and 8 hour timeframe!

This is a new event in Dragon & Elfs, and includes three new elves.

Often I'll spend a few gems to do prism flower method, or to buy a golden capsule to get done REALLY quickly.
Neither of those things is required to obtain legendary rewards, or to complete an event, but they're a nice way to get things done faster, if you've got free gems from winning purple stars via the game itself.
