The baroque town of Solothurn, Switzerland has a unique love for the number 11. It was the 11th canton of the Swiss Confederation, has 11 churches and chapels, 11 fountains, and 11 towers as part of the city along with 11 guilds, prefectures and chaplains. To top it off they have a clock with an 11 hour dial indicating "Solothurn time" and at 11 o'clock the clockwork harlequin plays the "Solothurn song". If you want to see this for yourself it's situated on the side of the UBS bank building just outside the old city wall.
