Return of the Greenshank. The Greenshank has more charisma than most waders and I have missed it. A bird that nests on the peat bogs, they disappear from our coastal pools during the breeding season and this bird is the first to return. Greenshanks always make me smile when they dart about chasing small fish and invertebrates.
The day was dull, wet and very windy!
