Several countries outside of China are seeing shortages of face masks and hand sanitizer while concern grows over China's coronavirus epidemic.

A Chinese tourist in Bangkok bought two boxes of face masks to take back to Shanghai.

"It's because they are hard to find in China. These days, you pretty much cannot find them anywhere. When new ones are out, they are sold out immediately. So, there's nowhere to buy them.”

#Bangkok residents have been wearing face masks for several weeks due to high pollution levels, but the coronavirus situation has seen a spike in their usage. Thailand has the biggest number of confirmed coronavirus cases outside of China.

"We have to wear masks to protect ourselves, to wherever we go, especially to public places, where there are many people," a tourist told NTD.
