Описание: I chat with artists Ian Mood and Vivian Pedley about the Mermaid of Zennor. Ian is currently the artist in residence for the Little Mermaid theatrical musical at the New Vic Theatre so it’s a classic example of mermaid synchronicity that we get together for a chat about said fishy muse whilst taking turns to sit in the Mermaid chair in St Senara Church.

The audio in the church was a bit compromised as a crowd gathered to eavesdrop our revelations so there’s a bit of chat from the congregation. We did manage to haul up an aspiring mermaid from Yorkshire called Wendy to tell us about her own fascination with the romantic siren.

After a couple of pints of Mermaid Ale in The Tinners Arms Vivian Pedley tells us about his extraordinary painting of The Mermaid of Zennor which hangs in Bob Osborne’s cottage at Tregerthen.
