The BRIX Report is our annual publication on the Twin Cities. This year, it's better than ever—we've got features on great Twin Cities restaurants, local boutiques, architects, fitness, fashion, etc., etc., etc. You'll be able to pick up a free copy at the event.

What are these Short Films, you ask? We asked local writers, filmmakers, actors, and musicians to create three short films that highlight the Twin Cities through story.

One episode follows the “Bon Iver of Business” through Lowertown St. Paul and into Heimie’s Haberdashery where he gets a shave and a surprise. In another, two people arrive for a blind date at Smack Shack to discover that they already know each other a little too well. A young woman finds herself running into an intriguing stranger, culminating at Fitzgerald’s on Cathedral Hill. Each episode has a companion video that spotlights the local business.

When was the last time you saw the Twin Cities on the big screen? Mighty Ducks? Jingle All The Way? It’s been awhile for us, too. We hope that after watching these short films, you’ll feel just a little more pride in our city.
