You see how I go about making matching ash plates 175x21mm with a 110mm foot. A seam of silica runs through the ash, blunting the tools. The edges require frequent honing. This video was a rushed shoot leading to some carelessness on my part — so if/when you find yourself in similar situations (plural!!), you might remember how I recovered.
