Challenging times in dairy animals feeding due to high soybean/maize prices. Alternate feed ingredients become the focus of nutritionists, although not many options are there. Wheat, CSC, rice bran or DORB, DDGS Mustard DOC, Molasses, Urea, chuni etc. Good productive animals capacity 20-25lit & due to lack of quality fodder, we need high quality concentrate feed. In India most of our productive animals are energy deficient. Energy deficient feed + Negative energy balance = infertility. Increasing energy content of feed put negative impact on rumen (acidosis). Increasing energy without increasing protein does not give much results on production. Trend of high protein feed - it is becoming popular. Its a recent change.
