With the new Firepower 4100/9300 platforms, customers have an option of running either classic ASA software or Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) software as a logical device. The logical device is instantiated from FX-OS, which is primarily managed through the GUI interface called Firepower Chassis Manager (FCM). This video walks through the initial bootstrap of a Firepower appliance (4120 in this case), configuring basic platform settings in FCM, and creating the ASA as the logical device.
