The Eurovision broadcasting group forced Israel to change the lyrics their song this year, claiming they were “too controversial”. They chose to silence our pain and censor the truth. The lyrics of 'October Rain' are raw and, in my eyes, perfectly portray our collective trauma following this past gruesome October and every loss since.
Tomorrow night, in the Malmö Arena, as Eden sings to millions of listeners worldwide, we will know the true meaning of the song 'Hurricane'.
