This 1971 Chevelle Wagon Sat Rotting — Until We Refused to Let It Die

This 1971 Chevelle station wagon has been sitting in a horse stall for over a year. It appeared on a TV car show, got a brand new Blueprint Engines 383 crate motor dropped in, and then — like so many TV builds — got parked and completely abandoned when the cameras stopped rolling.

We dragged it out. We cleaned it up. And we tried to bring it back to life.

In this video, we tackle everything this old wagon threw at us — a spraying fuel line, contaminated carburetor bowls, weak spark, rear coil springs that nearly fell out of the car, and brakes that technically worked but not in any way you'd feel confident about. Along the way, we discover that underneath all the neglect, this Chevelle has some serious bones — solid floors, clean frame rails, and one of the best sounding 383s we've heard in a long time.
