5 Reasons We Are Thankful for Digital Ministry

Описание: With Thanksgiving just around the corner it seems fitting to pause and talk about five reasons to be thankful for digital ministry. But rather than hearing five things from one person you'll be hearing one "thankful" thing from five digital ministry leaders!

Rev. Jo Nygard Owens joined the Washington National Cathedral as Pastor for Digital Ministry in October 2023. In this newly created position, Rev. Owens will serve those who worship digitally at Washington National Cathedral by extending the mission and ministry of the Cathedral into the digital space.

Rev. Natalie Owens-Pike is the Associate Pastor for Ministry to the Online Campus at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church in New York, NY. She is a second-generation woman clergy, and a second-career minister who sees the beauty in following the Holy Spirit along the winding paths of our lives.

Rev. Dr. Joseph McBrayer is the Associate Pastor for Connection and Digital Ministry at Oak Grove UMC in Decatur, GA (ogumc.org). He is an ordained deacon in the North Ga United Methodist Church and holds a Forestry Degree from Auburn University.

Rev. Nathan Webb is a major nerd in just about every way. He loves video games, anime, cartoons, comic books, tech, and his fellow nerds. Hoping to provide a spiritual community for people with similar interests, he founded Checkpoint Church--"the church for nerds, geeks and gamers."

Oh, and then me, the Minister of Digital Worship & Education at The Riverside Church and the Director of Online Innovation at Convergence.
