But they are trying to socialize two very different funds — and Albertans deserve to know the difference.
One is the Alberta Heritage Trust Fund — a protected savings account built for future generations.
The other - the Heritage Fund - is a new high-risk investment structure targeting hedge-fund-level returns.
Public savings should not be used to backstop speculative investments or politically preferred projects.
The Tory Party will protect the Trust Fund, strengthen its safeguards, and grow it responsibly for the long term.
