Mid-Bass Crossover Hacks - Jensen CS-315 RestoMod Speakers Part 2.0

Описание: I finally got around to finishing this last installment of the Jensen CS-315 RestoMod Speakers video series, where I was taking old footage from an earlier DIY speaker project, and trying to do a better job presenting the build.

This was a tough one to edit, as it was composed of multiple videos with hours of footage I needed to trim, cut and put into a meaningful video... it's still rough around the edges, but I appreciate you watching just the same.

This final tweaking, (after the build was completed), came as a result of the need for more cowbell, I mean mid-bass. Yup, the speakers were sounding good, but I felt they needed a little more mid-bass.

The crossover hack I performed was essentially lowering the high pass filter. In this 3 way passive crossover design, (a pretty nice off the shelf Parts Express crossover that looks an awful lot like the Eminence crossovers, just built a little differently.

Anyway, long story short, my goal was to give these beastly 15 inch 3 way bass reflex speakers, a little more pop in the mid-bass in an attempt to balance the sound pressure level of the 100 to 300 Hz octaves.

Grab your headphones, or turn on your home theater system to watch this video. It's a little long, but some of that is the listening and sound demonstration for you. I play a variety of music tracks that impact different areas in the frequency range from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz.
