House of Commons of Canada – West Block, Room 025-B In this session of the Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration, MPs and witnesses examine pressing issues in Canada's immigration system, including asylum claim processing, security protocols, overwhelmed systems, and potential reforms for fairness and efficiency. Key highlights: Witnesses in the first hour (11:00–12:00 ET): Laila Elcano (Caregivers' Action Samaritan Movement), Nino Melikidze (Immitracker Inc.), Ranya Elfil (Sudanese Canadian Community Association).
Witnesses in the second hour (12:00–1:00 ET): James Yousif (Lawyer), David Pierce (Canadian Chamber of Commerce), Liane Roy & Alain Dupuis (Fédération des communautés francophones et acadienne du Canada).
