IERR 5255 on the Indiana Eastern Railroad which runs from Richmond Indiana south to Fernald Ohio on the form Chesapeake & Ohio. The former Norfolk Southern GP38-2 (NS 5255) had just been released to service 2 week prior having been repainted into the Indiana Eastern Railroad's latest livery. The railroad hasn't had a locomotive with their name on it on this line for about a decade. The reporting mark may also be IE 5255 or RRC 5255 (Respondek Railroad Corp), it isn't spelled out on the locomotive but both of those have been used on other Respondek locomotives in the past.
I chased the short train from Cottage Grove Indiana where they cross the CSX Indy Sub diamond. They rumble south of the small town of Bath Indiana, cross the state line into Ohio at Peoria and roar by a brick farmhouse by New Haven Rd. At Okeana they cross the trestle over Buck Run. Arriving in Fernald we see the locomotive cross a bridge that still has Chesapeake & Ohio ghost lettering. I filmed a few switching moves at the chemical plant and them departing north. They chase back to Cottage Grove will be featured in my next upload.
