Happy birthday Kanan!!!!

Today is a special day as it is the beloved dolphin of Aqours, aka Kanan Matsuura's birthday and to celebrate Kanan, I decided to do a week dedicated to Kanan with six special mixes starring Kanan and various Aqours girls across six consecutive days.

If you somehow haven't noticed by now, I really love Kanan. The cool, calm and collective older sister of Aqours, who is also really adorable and is such an important asset to Aqours. She's truly a character that could've fit into two attributes imo, she easily could've been a cool girl but she also fits pure by how cute she can be. Her interactions with Mari are some of my fave in the entire franchise, and their episode made me cry so that's just a giant WIN right there!

I know people underestimate Kanan's voice, which I can see at first, but when you find those songs that allow her to shine with her lovely lower register, you come to appreciate the depth she brings to Aqours' discography. Unfortunately she isn't given a lot of those solos that show off Suwawa's comfortable range so with Kanan Week, I aimed to prove the Kanan haters wrong! My girl CAN sing thank you very much!

I picked Kiseki Hikaru for Kanan's bday mix as I love her solo a good lot, as she sounds like she's just in her element vocally which we love to see! The solo she got in the official song did her dirty as it is technically difficult for Suwawa to hit healthily live so I wanted to rectify that here.

I know this description is long, only today's video will be as it is the start of Kanan Week but I am very proud of this mix so I hope you all enjoy it!
