Many residents appreciate the proximity to Tacoma, and local charm of University Place.

A range of housing options are available, and construction age depends on the neighborhood, but many homes were built in the 1950s to 70s. Houses in U.P. are often updated and in the higher price range for Pierce County. The northern part of the city has many apartment options, while the south and west slope offer more single-family home options, some with gorgeous views of the Puget Sound!
