Zwift ZRL 24/25 S1 stage 1 TTT (B) on Douce France in France (Blowflys)

Описание: New season, and new team so this was a chance to feel things out and get to know people better. On top of that I find out there is a TTT timer bot in Discord to use, so keen to see how that worked.

Lining up in the pen the TTT timer bot was start and that proceed to irritate us about turns long before the first pedal stroke! After a few jokes we got ready and funny enough, the timing was perfect for me to have the last turn!

We headed out at a pace a bit hotter than I expected however my 400w effort pace kept me on so I stuck with that till the dust settled and we were moving down the road nicely.

The TTT bot actually worked pretty decently and we cycled through riders reasonably well though there was a bit of multiple pace lines going on. TBH this was kinda expected as this is a new team and the start of the course was not exactly TTT friendly flat. The bot however mead it easy to keep track of when you were up so this was good.

After the Aqueduct we lost a rider, not 100% sure why but we were down to 5. Looking at the rider groups we had good time on all nearby so we kept chugging along although the bumps in the first half had taken some toll on a few of our riders. My 400w efforts were now opening gaps so I had to regroup with the team.

I was not sure who was fatigued and who wasn't so I just decided to take a solid turn and give everyone a break. After 2mins I eased and recovered for a bit then moved up and had another turn. By this time the finish line was looming so we all wound it up and chased down the clock as best we could.

Pretty happy with a 2nd place, its a great place to be with another 5 races to go. Lets see how we fare as the more conventional races come along.
