Welcome to Retronom Records. In this galactic edition, we take Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars’ apocalyptic ballad "Die With A Smile" and beam it up into a 1950s Space Age Exotica / Elevator Bossa Nova classic.

We replaced the dramatic piano with shimmering vibraphones, a cheesy Hammond organ, and sci-fi sound effects (theremin wooshes!). The lyrics are still about the end of the world, but the music sounds like a shopping mall on Mars. It’s the perfect soundtrack for the atomic age.

Fasten your seatbelts. We are now approaching the event horizon.
