The Schlegeis Speicher (or Schlegeis Stausee) is a large reservoir located in the Zillertal Alps of Tyrol, Austria. It lies at the southern end of the Zillertal valley, in area named Samser Grund, at an altitude of about 1,800 meters above sea level. The lake was created by the Schlegeis Dam, which was completed in 1971. Its turquoise water comes from melted glacier ice and mountain streams.
