Ex Pastor Exposes Why He Left the Church and Christianity

In this video, I’m sharing why I left the church, why I no longer believe what I used to believe, and what that journey actually looked like from the inside.
A lot of people assume that when someone leaves Christianity, it must be because they were offended, bitter, wanted to sin, or got hurt by church people. But for me, it was more complicated than that. Yes, the way the church treated people mattered. The way LGBTQ people were talked about and treated mattered a lot. The loss of community mattered. But I was also wrestling with the deeper theological claims of Christianity itself. I was questioning the exclusivity of Christ, the way salvation was framed, the history of the biblical canon, and whether any of it still made sense to me anymore.

I also talk about how hard it is to leave evangelicalism when your entire life is wrapped up in it. For many people, leaving church is not just leaving a belief system. It is losing your community, your support system, your identity, and sometimes even your career. That was true for me too.

This is not a takedown of every Christian. I say clearly in the video that good Christians do exist. But this is my story, and this is the truth of why I walked away.
