Abia State Can’t Go Back to the Dark Ages – Ukoha Njoku Ukoha, Gov Otti’s Spokesman
The Chief Press Secretary to the Abia State Governor, Njoku Ukoha Njoku, has declared that Abia State will not return to what he described as the “dark ages” of governance, when the resources of the state were allegedly controlled by a few individuals with little to show in terms of development.
Ukoha made the remarks during an interaction with media executives in Umuahia, where he reaffirmed the commitment of Governor Alex Otti to transparent leadership, accountability, and institutional reforms.
He said the current administration is deliberately focused on building strong and sustainable institutions that will outlive political tenures and deliver long-term benefits to the people of Abia State.
He stressed that governance under Governor Otti is anchored on prudence, due process, and people-oriented policies.
Ukoha maintained that Abians are already witnessing measurable improvements across key sectors, adding that the government remains committed to infrastructural renewal, improved public service delivery, and responsible management of public funds.
He also criticized sections of the opposition for what he described as distorted narratives and attempts to misinform the public.
He urged critics to engage constructively and support efforts aimed at repositioning the state for sustainable growth rather than spreading what he termed misleading claims.
The Governor’s spokesman reassured residents that the administration remains focused and undeterred, emphasizing that Abia State is on a path of reform and progress that cannot be reversed
