The image shared by the NDTV journalist is of the 503 shuttle buses that were simultaneously operated along a 3km route during the Kumbh. The NDTV journalist shared the photo with the quote, "Great news - the UP government has allowed the buses to be sent by the Congress [political party]," in reference to buses used to transport workers back to work during Coronavirus closures and re-opening.

Many criticised the NDTV journalist for spreading the fake imagery and misrepresenting the image as work that had been done by the Congress political party. Whereas the image had been taken during the Kumbh celebrations, it was now falsely understood to be showing contributions from a political party.
