Soprano Jessica Moss sings, "Tatiana's Ariosa" from Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky, accompanied by Dane Noble-Rosema. Sponsored by Opera Guild of Rochester and Pittsford Community Library, this event took place on 8.22.25 as part of a program Jess called, "It's Gettin' Hot in Here".
Notable roles from Jess's previous performances include Micaëla in Bizet’s Carmen with Opera Theatre of Connecticut, Monica in Menotti’s The Medium with Northern Lights Opera, Zina in Nico Muhly’s Dark Sisters and Dido in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas with Miami Music Festival, Cendrillon from Pauline Viardot’s Cendrillon with Houston Operativo, Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Così fan Tutte and Gretel from Hänsel und Gretel by Humperdinck with The Peabody Opera, the Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro with the Amalfi Coast Opera Festival. In scenes programs she has sung leading prima donnas Musetta in Puccini’s La Bohème, Antonia in Offenbach’s Les contes d’Hoffmann, Nedda in Pagliacci, and in the title role of Carlisle Floyd’s Susannah. In Competition, Jessica was Grand Prize winner in the Charleston Symphony Young Artists Competition, First Place winner in the NATS Regional Competition, and a finalist in the Hal Leonard Art Song Competition and Civic Morning Musical Competition. An avid recitalist, Jessica has appeared on the concert stage as soloist in the Vivaldi Gloria, Handel’s Messiah, Schubert’s Mass in G, the Pergolesi Stabat Mater, Berg’s Sieben Frühe Lieder, Debussy’s Proses Lyriques and Wolf’s complete Italienisches Liederbuch.
Jessica has participated in masterclasses led by Metropolitan Opera singers Ben Heppner, Eric Owens, Sherril Milnes, Michael Sylvester, Erie Mills, and Jonathan Beyer, and Eastman School of Music professors, Jan Opalach and Wilson Southerland. She holds a M.M. In Vocal Performance from Peabody Conservatory where she studied with Phyllis Bryn-Julson and a B.S. in Music Performance from Roberts Wesleyan College in Voice as a student of Constance Fee.

Dane Noble-Rosema holds a bachelor’s degree in Composition for Film, TV and Games from Berklee College of Music in Boston and a diploma in piano performance from the Associated Board of the Royals Schools of Music. He has been immersed in music his whole life. As a young boy he attended the Drakensberg Boys’s Choir School in South Africa where he is originally from, and he has since lived and worked in Cairo, Egypt, Boston, MA, and Rochester, NY. He is currently an adjunct professor at Rochester Institute of Technology in the School of Performing Arts teaching piano, and is collaborative pianist for RIT singers, musical theatre classes and instrumental studios. He is heavily involved in musical theatre in the area and recently directed a successful production of “A Chorus Line” at RIT. He has collaborated with the Young Artists Program for the Finger Lakes Opera, and was a rehearsal pianist for their production of Verdi’s “Aida”. Dane recently performed at our 2025 Annual Recital for Donors.
