Spring snow sometimes delivers the biggest snow falls.
After trying to dodge the bad weather, we've basically given up, after embracing the wild wet fiordland national park, we've headed back for a snow dump in Otago. We do love the snow and the epic scenes it creates, including the lonely pine.
But once again we were forced to wait and ride out frustrating grey damp rain, before the weather finally turned cold enough for snow, but it was so worth it.
And a first for us, Jade leaves, she farewells the family for the North Island for a 2 week break from vanlife with the grand parents.
