Fluffy greeted us as we were nearing her area. Jay located her dry food dish and dumped the water from her water dish. I rinsed and refilled the water dish, then put two handfuls of dry food into the dry food dish. After eating a few bites of the dry food, we joined Jay at the groundcover area. After finishing her chewable flea and tick treatment, Jay put down cat treats and when the cat treats were gone, Fluffy headed to her breakfast by way of the fence path. A fellow walker walking by and a loud vehicle on Evans Road caused Fluffy to feel uncomfortable. We did not see Fluffy on our return trip as Public Works crew was busy cleaning up the sidewalk along Evans Road. So much tree leaves had fallen that it was covering part of the sidewalk.
There was an adult RedTailed Hawk on a Redwood cluster tree, west of the Poppy Lane Condos. I made a video from the back parking lot of the Lutheran Church. Today's Thumbnail Photo Is The RedTailed Hawk
We had several songbirds at Alviso Adobe Park, both at the picnic feeding area and the back area of the park. Once the food was down in the back area, we had White-crowned, Golden-crowned, White-throated Sparrows, along with a Song Sparrow. At the picnic area, it was more White-crowned Sparrows than any other sparrows. We did have Golden-crowned Sparrows, Song Sparrow, and a few California Towhees and Doves.
We hadn't seen Kali earlier but on our return trip, I spotted her peeking around a brick planter, in the back parking lot. Jay headed to the cement curb to put down cat food and cat treats, while Kali stayed back, then for a moment, walked out of sight. When Jay finished putting down the food and walked away, Kali took several moments before deciding to go to the food.
As already mentioned, we didn't see Fluffy on our return trip and understood why. Sonny showed up at his area and Jay put down three live mealworms. Sonny flew down and took the first mealworm to the nearby fence post to eat it, then returned for the second mealworm, which also was dispatched on the fence post. I didn't see him take the final mealworm as I was busy putting down bird food for the various sparrows that show up at this area.
