As of 1/24/2014 all DD50 powered Neoplan's in Pittsburgh are retired.This is a video tribute to the late 1990's 40ft and 60ft Neoplans operated by Port Authority in Pittsburgh, PA. All of these buses feature a Detroit Diesel Series 50 engine and either an Allison B400R or B500R transmission. These buses follow the demise of PAT's former Neoplan AN440's with Detroit Diesel 6v92ta engines.
Note: PAT's 2005/06 Neoplan AN460's and 2000 Neoplan Metroliner's with DD60 will still be around (though the Metroliner's are next to be retired).
