How to make a Classic Filipino Cheese Bars. Super tender, not overly sweet and salty that reminds me of my favorite childhood treat.
Here's what you'll need:
3 large eggs
2/3 cup sugar (135g)
1 cup melted butter (227g)
3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk (240g)
1.5 tsp vanilla (7ml)
2 and 1/4 cup all purpose flour (280g)
1/2 cup powdered milk (60g)
1 tsp baking powder (4g)
1/2 tsp salt (2g)
1 cup grated cheddar cheddar cheese plus more for topping
1. Preheat oven at 170C/340F.
2. In a mixing bowl, mix together eggs, sugar, melted butter, condensed milk and vanilla.
3. Add flour, powdered milk, baking powder and salt. Mix to combine. Add grated cheese. Mix
4. Place batter in a lined and greased baking dish. Top with more grated cheese.
5. abake for 25 to 30 minutes.
6. Let it cool down. Serve and enjoy!
