My testimonial of participation in warm water rebirthing retreat with Kerry Veitch

I would like to share my authentic experience of participating in the conscious rebirthing in warm water retreat this year July 10th till July 14th in Fforest, Wales facilitated by Kerry Veitch @kerryveitch and Pablo Castro, assisted by Nikita and Darryl.

I had met a woman sometime prior who had spoken about having a breath work session in warm water and how beneficial it had been for her. I then met Cherie Adamson who has trained with alchemy of breath and she introduced me to Kerry and Pablo’s work. I got on the waiting list for notification of Kerry’s retreat and as soon as I received the email I got in touch with her and we had a brief discussion, I made up my mind on the spot, my intuition guided me that this would be something that I felt I needed to do for myself.

I had also been introduced to the book by Frédérick Leboyer – Birth without Violence and I have a strong interest in how birth can affect the way we live our lives, also knowing people who have trained with ‘birth into being’ et cetera, although I had not done any of this work, prior to the retreat in Fforest.

The retreat is held in the most stunning and beautiful setting; as I was meeting Kerry we had two majestic birds of prey circling above us.

As I was coming to the retreat, I had a lot of anxiety and worry in my life about a situation and I knew that I needed to remain soft and open and allow my retreat experience to be exactly what it needed to be.

It was really lovely to be in the group energy as we were entering the delicate terrains of reliving our birth experiences et cetera. I find Kerry very authentic and vulnerable. She holds the feminine motherly energy; Pablo brings a warm, nurturing masculine to the processes.

We work around our inner children and the beliefs we have formed through womb, and birthing experiences, our formative years and individuation journeys about who we are how we experience the world.

I had some really deep and mystical experiences in the warm water breathing sessions in the birthing pool.

It is difficult to articulate in words; is a journey in time, cyclic time, maybe not linear time, accessing pre-verbal and subconscious memories which are held in the limbic birth imprints then having an experience of a safe and nurturing rebirthing where we can re-create our birth in the way we maybe would have liked.

Having the very loving and safe sense of connection with Kerry and Pablo feels very magical and liberating; I would very warmly recommend this work to anyone who feels that they may have a desire to experience the world differently.

There are many positive aspects to the work. The conscious breathing work is grounding and empowering; the awareness of breath can give us all a way of tuning into how we can give ourselves more safety in situations by allowing ourselves to breathe deeply to centre and ground ourselves so avoid or dissipate overwhelm.

I love the team work that Kerry and Pablo have, the retreat facilities were wonderful, the food was great and we also had time to get to know each other and socialise within the group. We also had a ceremonial experience of cacao around a beautiful fire et cetera. I had a most brilliant experience; would very warmly recommend.

I have decided to attend next year as I feel that I could go deeper into this work surrendering more.

I have noticed shifts in my life and feel lot more comfortable addressing conflict for instance and I feel I’m showing up much more authentically in life; my relationships with my mother, my sister, brother family and friends have vastly improved.

I also feel much more aligned vocationally & professionally; I wish to add my voice speaking about what is important; I think and feel having a discussion in cultures around birth and birthing is very crucial.

As I was preparing for the retreat part of the prescribed work is to enquire from mother around our birth experience, I had some very deep and loving conversations with my own mother. I felt that she appreciated my desire to know more about my own birth experience and her birthing experiences. She told me about my sister’s birth, my own birth and my brother’s birth; I feel that I have entered into a deeper understanding and reverence of the mystery of giving birth; I also saw my father’s diary entrance and it was evident, how joyful and jubilant the experience of my birth was to him.
In itself this conversation with my mother was very healing; I’m very grateful to have been prompted to do this work from Kerry and Pablo, it is all in all really beautiful experience. I would encourage people who are interested to make contact and get go deeper themselves.
