We show how to replace the water roller drum on Ryan Lawnaire LA-4 IV aerators.

We also replace the bearings and drum seals at the same time.

Normally I try to reuse bearings if they are not too bad but in this case they didn't want to come off easily so they needed to be replaced.

You can use a puller also to take off the bearings, if you do this you will not want to reuse them.

A puller may have been quite a bit easier looking back but sometimes you get caught up in what you are doing and forget things you learned.

This is a pretty extensive process for a DIY project but it can be done with some good instruction.
