Описание: Today's Word places before us two portraits of courage born of faith. David, young and seemingly weak, faced the giant Goliath not with armor or sword, but with complete trust in the Lord: "It is the Lord who will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine" (1 Sam 17:37). His confidence does not arise from self-assurance but from knowing God's power and presence. In the Gospel, Jesus healed a man with a withered hand on the Sabbath (Mk 3:1-6). Jesus revealed that doing good and giving life can never violate the law of God, for love is the highest law. Yet, the hardness of heart among the Pharisees shows how religious observance can become empty when separated from mercy. St. Agnes, a young girl of about twelve, mirrors both David and Christ in her holy courage. Her strength came not from physical might but from unwavering love for Christ. Like David's sling, her purity became the instrument of her victory. May the purity and steadfast love of St. Agnes inspire us to bear witness to You in our daily lives. Blessings
