This is the second episode of my solo bikepacking journey through Alaska — a land of endings and new beginnings. From the far southern edge of the Kenai Peninsula, where the road ends in Homer, I turn back north, chasing the sun toward Denali National Park. I search for the highest peak in North America, hidden behind the clouds, and for the part of myself that feels at home in the wild.
