109 million people on the roads, here's how to beat the traffic

Описание: With the Christmas holiday concluded, millions of Americans are returning to the roadways for what experts predict will be a record-breaking travel season.

AAA estimates that more than 100 million people will travel by car during the holidays, with the day after Christmas ranking as one of the busiest. This surge in traffic has prompted a high-alert status for law enforcement. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office recently completed a two-day DUI saturation patrol that ran through Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. During the operation, deputies stopped 35 people, resulting in seven DUI arrests, four misdemeanor arrests, and 28 citations.

To help mitigate the risk of impaired driving, AAA has activated its Tow to Go program, which is available to the public through January 2. The service is intended to provide a safe alternative for those who may have celebrated too much.
