Happy 5th birthday to Vizazi, the youngest gorilla girl!
I hoped the zookeepers would prepare a surprise for her birthday but there only was the usual distribution of vegetables. This time, chicory (NL - witloof), together with some pellets to provide the necessary vitamins and minerals.
I had been waiting quite a while until, finally, the gorillas appeared. Of course l followed birthday girl Vizazi as much as possible.
I also added video clips from earlier visits. As you will notice, Vizazi is still playful and always curious to investigate everything.
After a busy day, she and her mother Mambele had a bit of relaxing time. A scene l had never witnessed before.
