Warriors of the Forest Chapter 7: Will You Help Me?

Описание: It was sunset. Demonmoon was still sitting where Morningpelt left her. Morningpelt had told Mistpaw, Sunwind, Nightpaw, Lavatail and Nighttail the truth. Sparklestar was completely unaware. So many thoughts were flowing through Demonmoon's head. Tears were still flooding her eyes. "Now.. I see why I never met my mother..."

She finally managed to get up. She padded towards the cliff. The cliff that medicine cats stood upon to receive messages from Starclan. The cliff was called High Peak. Demonmoon looked down at the far distance below. She wanted to throw herself down there.. No one ever survived the drop.

"Don't do it!" A voice called from behind her. It was Nighttail. "Huh? O-oh, I was just.. admiring the sunset..!" Demonmoon mewed silently. "Can I sit with you for a bit?" Nighttail asked. Demonmoon nodded.

"So.. Sis told me everything about that Sparklestar jerk." Demonmoon nodded again. "Demonmoon?" Nighttail turns Demonmoon's head so she could face him. Demonmoon softly blushed. "W-What?" "Can I ask you two things?" Demonmoon nodded for the third time in this chapter. "S-Sure..."

"Demonmoon, I want to skin Sparklestar's last life. I want to kill her if it's the last thing I do." Demonmoon's eyes widened. "She has done too much to you. All of us. I want to kill her. Demonmoon, can you help me with this goal?" Demonmoon's mouth went dry. "Uh.. I don't know, Nighttail.. I hate hurting people.." she muttered.

"Demonmoon, she killed your mother.." Nighttail's voice raised. "Nighttail, stop! Killing isn't right!" Demonmoon looked at him with slight horror in her eyes. Nighttail's eyes on the other hand, were flaming with anger. "I'M GONNA KILL HER! RIP OUT HER PATHETIC LUNGS! IMMA-" Demonmoon grabbed Nighttail and shook him. "WILL YOU PLEASE STOP???" Demonmoon yelled. Tears started streaming down her face.

The fire in Nighttail's eyes were gone. He stared at Demonmoon, who was rubbing her eye with her paw. "Demonmoon, I.." Demonmoon glared at him and he fell silent.

"Listen, Demonmoon... I just want to protect you.." he mumbled. "Why would you want to protect someone like me?" Demonmoon snapped. "BECAUSE I LOVE YOU, OKAY??" Nighttail yowled.

Demonmoon's eyes widened again. Her ears fell back and her mouth slightly fell open. "Nighttail - " "My second question was.." He interrupted. "Will you.. be my mate, Demonmoon?" His face was bright red at this point.

Demonmoon fell silent. "Nighttail.....?" she spoke after a long silence. Nighttail looked away. Nighttail," Demonmoon put her paw on his shoulder. "Nighttail, I-" Nighttail quickly spun around, kissing Demonmoon right on her lips.

Demonmoon was shocked. Nighttail quickly broke away, realizing what he had done. He started to sweat as Demonmoon stared at him with a look of shock. She put her paw on his. "Nightail.. I.. I love you too," Demonmoon licked him on the nose.

Nighttail wrapped his tail around Demonmoon's, and Demonmoon hugged Nighttail. He rested his head on top of her. They both smiled, Nighttail had the biggest smile.

"So.. Will you help me defeat Sparklestar? I would finish her off, don't worry.." he softly said. Demonmooon smiled gently. "Yea.. sure.." Nighttail pressed his nose against Demonmoon's. "Let's watch the sunset together, for now," he held Demonmoon's paw. Demonmoon's sadness seemed to disappear into thin air. Instead, she felt love, loved, happiness... Something she would love to feel every day.

"HEY! STOP RIGHT THERE!" Both cats looked behind them at the cat who suddenly screeched at them.

It was Sparklestar.
