Geckota W-02 Vintage Mechanical Chronograph Racing Watch

Experience the spirit of vintage racing, one of the greatest eras of watch design, with this classical mechanical chronograph. Back by popular demand after the success of the W-02 dress chronograph, this evolved version of the design comes in two colour options and is a great chance to own a classically inspired chronograph at an affordable price.

The small sub-dial on the right hand side (3 o'clock position) counts the chronograph minutes (up to 30mins) when it's running. The dial on the left (9 o'clock position) is ticking seconds.

Another classic from our workshop range, this model takes inspiration from the iconic military chronographs of the 50s and 60s, with an ultra-legible dial, a striking lume and even a telemeter scale (something historically used as an artillery range finder). Hardwearing and practical, with the touch of class that you would expect from a classic 50/60s design, this watch represents a great value option in its category.

Geckota was started by the company's managing director, Jonathan Quinn. Initially his vision was to sell watches and watch-straps to like-minded people who would share his enthusiasm for high-quality materials at honest and considered prices. It began as a hobby and an eBay account in the name of WatchGecko but the business has now grown into a thriving independent e-commerce company. We started developing products using the company's name in 2012 after a struggle to find more of the products that our customers were looking for.

Geckota continues to be a successful, ever-growing and dynamic company that believes in a progressive approach when designing, selling and marketing our pieces. We learn from every step taken and always design to our best capabilities, taking inspiration from the past and present to craft amazing products. The company has grown considerably from its early stages but has always had a diligent and pragmatic team that work together in harmony, sharing Jon's vision and work philosophies. Now with full control over design and materials, specifications, marketing and even despatch we can perfect every little detail and remain confident with our work.
