I was in the middle of the city, with the Bosque close enough to step into nature but still close enough to hear the city sounds.

I had an hour to spare, instead of sitting in my car and scrolling on my phone.

I decided to take a slow walk along the Bosque.

I walked slowly, taking in the beauty around me.

I stopped several times just to listen.

No one else was around for a while. It felt quiet …but at the same time it was loud

Birds calling from different directions.

Wind moving through the trees.

Leaves softly crunching under my boots.

It reminded me how much life is happening around us when we take a moment to notice
