Every aviator can pinpoint a moment they fell in love with aviation. That moment was likely influenced by a legacy of some aviation great, a legend that helped craft the world of aviation as we know it today. Paul Poberezny was one of those legends and his legacy lives on thanks to the care and intention of the Irwin family, owners of Aircraft Spruce.
The Irwin's purchased the Poberezny estate, located right on the edge of the Whitman airfield, and they allowed FLYING Magazine a first-hand look at the history behind the founder of the Experimental Aircraft Association.
From the original drafting table to the thousands of photographs to the full bar located in every room, stepping into the Poberezny house is like stepping back in time to a period where experimental aviation was turning a new corner every single day.
