In this video we use Dolbear's Law, an Arduino Uno, a 1-Wire DS18B20 temperature sensor and a buzzer to emulate a cricket's temperature-dependent chirping. It is about the chirp rate, no attempts are made to create a realistic cricket sound. That may be the subject of another video.
BTW, in the video it is said that a 1-Wire read takes 250 ms. This is too optimistic as the oscilloscope shows that more than 600 ms are consumed.
