Being a native Charlottean, I have grown up eating at this place, and it has been featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives...and for good reason. This could possibly be the best drive in in the Queen City, and maybe the best I've ever eaten at myself.
Serving Charlotte, NC since 1955, South 21 is a family owned small business pulling up some amazing classic southern dishes for the droves of cars Tuesday through Saturdays.
Some of the amazing people that bring you your food have worked there since they were kids...and these are some elderly gentlemen.
Always so kind and generous, and delicious food to boot. This is a MUST do if you are visiting the Queen City, or if you live here permanently.
