DIY ASYMMETRICAL TUBE TOP | HOW TO MAKE A TUBE TOP DIY

Описание: In this easy sewing project we’re learning how to sew a tube top from scratch. This isn’t any tube top, we’re learning how to sew a asymmetrical tube top diy.

This is similar to a DIY tube top sewing tutorial but with a little twist. You can make this 10 minute sewing project using stretch fabric such as rib knit, stretch crepe, jersey knit, etc.

Learn how to make an asymmetrical top or alter this to learn how to make a tube top instead.

Step 1. Take the following measurement: Your upper bust circumference, Waist circumference, Upper bust to waist length, Upper bust to desired length of slanted top length. Mark put these points following the tube top pattern to make your own

Step 2. Fold your fabric in half and lay your pattern piece on top

Step 3. Trace the outline of the pattern onto your fabric with chalk and cut with scissors

Step 4. Place your fabric pieces together right sides facing

Step 5. Pin all the way down on the shorter side. On the longer side. Pin up to half the length leaving the slit unsewn

Step 6. Stitch the pinned points.

Step 7. Measure your upper bust circumference and cut your elastic to that length

Step 8. Pin your elastic to the circumference of the top and sew to secure

Step 9. Fold the elastic down and stitch in the ditch on both sides to hold the elastic in place.

Step 10. Hem the bottom of the top using 1/2 inch seam allowance
