Today we took the motoneta from Patate to Baños, but not the easy way… we went up through the antennas, high in the Andes — where Ecuador turns into a completely different world.
This ride had EVERYTHING:
☀️ scorching sunshine
🌫️ spooky foggy mountain roads
🛣️ winding cobblestone climbs
🏔️ insane views into the Andes
🌸 beautiful flowers everywhere
😊 friendly locals along the way
The whole ride is featured in this 10-minute cinematic cruise, with Enya playing in the background the entire time — and honestly… it felt like the soundtrack was made for these mountains.
And just when we thought the ride couldn’t get more random… we stopped at a King Kong exhibit where you literally walk through King Kong’s mouth 😂🦍
